Thursday night at the ballpark!

OH YAAAAAA. Here's my celebratory rhyme,

summing up the eternal ethos of America's pastime.

dD

Doesn't matter who win da game
Only matters da dudes what came.

Jun 23 - My baseball rhyme, in response to Pick's:

Don't matter what goes down with the boys of summer
Without the Monday men the game's gonna be a real bummer.

Gus, get another page ready.

Smack the mitt, swing the bat!
Monday men at the Nat.

Jun 23 - Ted’s baseball contribution:

Come what may,
Come ye all,
The hawker hawks
The ticker takes
The batter swings,
Here he comes, round the bases
The throw ensues
Is he safe or is he out?

Desperately invested
As Nat Bailey, mimics, mankind’s paces

Monday men in matching hats watch
Baseball men hit balls with bats

the ump stands in
on cleat-clad feet
he stand looking
over curve balls and curses
on non-silent haunches
as the inning moves on

I'm kinda in melt down mode with work home and an

international conference -
but i had to take a swing at the poetic bat.
Apologies to copyright and the writers guild
This is so lame that further rewrites are clearly
needed
before we give a rendition at the game
I have marked July 8 and will check it out -

PS My laptop keyboard is #$%^d

Monday Men were base ball mad.
Had the fever and had it bad;
Just to root for the home town crew,
Cum'on guys get some brew
On a Wednesday, mail to bro
Need to see if we'd like to go,
To see the show, but one just said,
"No, I'll tell you what you can do."

"Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some popcorn and Kokanee,
I don't care if I can't even see,

Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don't win it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out,
At the old ball game."

Monday Men  saw   just this game ,
Pick knew players by their  names;
Told the umpire he was wrong,
Talkd it up good and   long.
When the score was just two to two,
Monday Men knew what to do,
Just to cheer up the boys we knew,
The whole darn  gang sang this song:

"Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some popcorn and Kokanee,
I don't care if I can't even see,

Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don't win it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes, your out,
At the old ball game."
